Battery Testing Lab
For Teaching and Research purpose:
This lab comprises of the the following equipments:
(1) Electrochemical impedance test system with advanced current booster facility
(2) Electrical testing of battery pack upto 72 Volts.
(3) Thermal performance testing of Battery Pack used in EVs including real-time temperature control of battery packs using fuzzy logic controller and reinforcement learning.
Teaching methodology
I make active use of the following materials for enhancing active learning of students in the class:
(1) Use of scientific research paper in emerging technologies such as energy storage; battery pack designs;
(2) Use of videos to demonstrate the physical mechanisms (e.g., thermal runaway; battery pack design; electrochemical phenomenon inside batteries; heat transfer; etc.)
(3) Use of baidu translation for chinese students for easier understanding.
